Honeysuckle Designs Company began with a simple dream—to turn something I truly love into something I could share with others.
I’ve always loved creating. Whether it’s sewing, embroidery, designing, or learning a new craft, making something with my own hands has always brought me joy. One day I realized that if I was going to work hard every day, I wanted to spend that time doing something I genuinely enjoyed. So I asked myself, “Why not make a living doing something I actually love?” That simple question became the beginning of Honeysuckle Designs.
But the heart of this business goes back much further.
The yellow screen door in my logo isn’t just a pretty image—it represents home.
It reminds me of my childhood and of my Mamaw standing on the other side of that screen door, calling us in for supper or telling us it was time to come inside and have a glass of sweet tea. That door represents warmth, laughter, family, and a little bit of country. Those memories shaped who I am, and I’d like to think they still show up in everything I create today.
The name Honeysuckle comes from the large honeysuckle bush growing just outside that very screen door.
Every summer it filled the yard with the sweetest fragrance. I remember pulling the tiny centers from the flowers and tasting the sweet nectar they held. To me, honeysuckle has always been charming and timeless. It grows wild, can’t always be tamed, and yet it gives so much beauty along the way.
That’s exactly what I hope Honeysuckle Designs reflects.
When someone opens a package from me, I hope they feel one simple thing:
Whether it’s something they’ve been looking forward to for themselves or a gift they’re excited to give someone they love, I hope opening that package brings a smile to their face.
More than anything, I hope people know that every item was created by someone who truly cares.
Creating for others makes me happy. Knowing that something I’ve made becomes part of someone’s celebration, comfort, or everyday life is one of the greatest rewards of owning this business.
As Honeysuckle Designs continues to grow, I also hope it becomes a way to give back. I’m still discovering exactly what that looks like, but I know I want this business to be about more than the products I create. I want it to leave people feeling encouraged, cared for, and reminded that a little kindness can make a big difference.
Thank you for supporting my dream and allowing me to be a small part of your story.
